Agreeing to these terms

Trivia Night HQ is a free trivia game and YouTube show. By creating an account or playing on trivianighthq.com, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can play

You must be 16 or older. When you sign up you confirm that you are.

Your account and handle

• One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.
• Your handle is public. Pick one that isn't offensive, hateful or sexual, doesn't pretend to be someone else (including the house crew or us), and doesn't contain anyone's personal details. We may change or remove a handle that breaks this, and the same goes for guest nicknames in rooms.

Fair play

Trivia is only fun when it's fair. Please don't:

• use bots, scripts or other automation to play, or to read answers out of the site;
• scrape, download or collect questions, answers or other content in bulk, for example to build a question database or a competing product, or to train AI models;
• exploit bugs, or try to get around rate limits, ranking rules or security;
• make extra accounts to climb the boards, or play on someone else's behalf;
• interfere with the site, overload it, or try to get into parts you shouldn't.

Looking up answers while you play is on your conscience. Breaking the rules above can get scores removed or an account suspended.

Boards and scores

• Boards, ranks, tiers and titles are for bragging rights only. There are no prizes and no money involved.
• We decide how scoring and ranking work and may change them. We may remove or correct scores that look wrong, for example after a broken question or suspected cheating.

Moderation

To keep the game fair and friendly, we may reset a handle, remove scores, or suspend or ban an account that breaks these terms. A suspended account can still play practice but doesn't show on the boards until the suspension ends; a banned account can't sign in. If you think we got it wrong, appeal by emailing trivianighthq@gmail.com.

The house crew

The house crew are illustrated, computer-controlled characters (AI opponents) who play alongside you. They always carry a HOUSE badge, they are not real people, and they never count in stats about players.

Our content and yours

• The questions, videos, characters, artwork, sounds and the Trivia Night HQ name and logo belong to us or the people we license them from. You're welcome to play, and to share your scores, results and links to the site. Please don't copy, republish or sell our questions or media, or use them to train AI models.
• What you send us (a handle, a nickname, a question report or a note) stays yours, but you let us use it to run and improve the game, for example to show your handle on the boards or fix a question you reported.

Questions and mistakes

We work hard to get every question right: every question is fact-checked before it reaches you. Mistakes still slip through. If you spot one, use "Report this question" after the answer is shown and we'll take a look. Questions are for entertainment, not advice.

The service

Trivia Night HQ is free and provided "as is". We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs, and we may add, change or retire features at any time.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other players or the service at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unexpected losses from using the site, or for losses caused by things outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let signed-in players know. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
